Workers' Rights
SALIGAN engages workers and stakeholders in pursuing their right to decent work, which includes their rights to living wage, security of tenure, and freedom of association. We work for the fulfilment of the workers’ occupational safety and health, and non-discrimination and gender equality. SALIGAN participates in discussions on private and public sector workers, migrant workers, and informal workers.
Gender Equality
SALIGAN handles cases of gender-based violence and advocate for the enactment of laws and issuance of policies towards gender equality, especially community-based mechanisms to respond to gender-based violence. Together with paralegals and partners, gender issues are mainstreamed in all programs and engagements.
Children's Rights
SALIGAN works with children and child-focused NGOs and networks for the fulfillment of children’s right to participate in decision-making and governance processes. SALIGAN has child rights programming and child protection policies mainstreamed across all its programs and strategies
People's Participation in Governance
SALIGAN works with the basic and marginalized sectors for their meaningful engagement in all levels of governance. Primarily, SALIGAN directs its efforts and resources toward increasing peoples’ participation in local governance espousing the principle of democratic decentralization.
